Why don't these show up in the main screen area of the Dashboard? sqrt (smoothsec ( (source channel)2, window width in seconds)) - alternative form that performs the same calculation as the basic rms () function. rms (source channel, window width in seconds) - calculates the root mean square of the source channel with a triangular (Bartlett) averaging window. I've read about Smooth-sec but I can't understand the way to turn it in an IPS. Especially noise around the zero flow crossing may lead to wrong results.
